Szczyglis-dev/py-gpt is a desktop AI assistant based on GPT-4, GPT-4 Vision, GPT-3.5, DALL-E 3, Langchain, Llama-index and other technologies, supporting chat, vision, image generation and analysis, Autonomous agents, code and command execution, file upload and download, speech synthesis and recognition, network access, memory, context storage, prompt presets, plug-ins, assistants and more for Linux, Windows and Mac. The project is open source and the full Python source code can be found on GitHub. Using the app requires registering for an OpenAI account and providing an API key. The application also supports Langchain and can be connected to other large language models (LLMs) such as HuggingFace.

how to use

To use, follow these steps:

Install Python: Before using, make sure Python (version >=3.10, <3.12) is installed on your system. Download the source code:

Download the source code from GitHub and extract it to your system.

Create a virtual environment: Use the command < code>python3 -m venv venv to create a virtual environment, and then use < code>source venv/bin/activate to activate the environment.

Install dependencies: Use the command <code>pip install -r requirements.txt to install the required dependencies.

Run the application: Use the command <code>python3 run.py to run the application.
